The Board of Directors is in the process of looking into re-vamping and remodeling the pool areas. Renovations to both pools will be announced in the near future.
Welcome to Marina Strand Colony 1!
Please follow the County of Los Angeles Public Health Protocols that have been posted in the pool areas.
Dear Owners and Residents,
We hope that this letter finds you well. While we are all going through the Stay At Home orders here are some reminders and security measures that we feel are important to the community.
Pools, Spas, Saunas: The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has mandated that ALL public use spaces must be closed to residents in multi-family residences until further notice. As a reminder, the Marina Strand Colony #1 north and south pools, spas, recreation rooms and saunas, will remain closed until further notice. We thank you for your cooperation as we patiently get through this trying time. Be safe and stay well. For the latest information go to www.cdc.gov and www.publichealth.lacounty.gov.
Critical Delivery Service During COVID-19: Workplace Development Aging and Community Services (WDACS) is temporarily providing delivery service to help deliver food and other vital items to anyone who cannot leave their homes during COVID-19. Here is who qualifies: 60 years of age or older, individuals with a permanent or temporarily disability and dependent adults (aged 18-59). Deliveries are made 24 hours, 7 days a week. If you are interested in using those services please call 888-863-7411.
Trash Dates & Hours: Please note that if you are throwing away trash using the trash chutes, please be reminded this must be done before 8am and after 5pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The trash bins are pulled outside to the street and are emptied during the above timeframes. Your trash will just fall to the garage level floors where the staff will then need to clean up. Thank you for your anticipated help.
Boxes: Please break down and flatten your boxes before putting them in the recycle bins. If the recAycle bins happen to be full, please take your boxes back to your units and bring them down the following day.
Front Door Entry Ways: We want to thank all of you who continue to keep your front door entry ways clear from obstruction and only keeping the allowed items at your front door entry-way as described in your Rules & Regulations. In the spirit of living in harmony, you can ask your neighbor if they need help taking down boxes or miscellaneous items to the recycle bin room. If you do offer your assistance, please be mindful of CDC guidelines for proper handling of boxes and other social distancing measures.
Picking Up After Your Pets & Leashing Dogs When in Common Area: If you own a dog/cat, or any other pet animal, please carry a bottle of water mixed w/vinegar to help flush clean after your pets. Don’t forget your doggie bags to pick after they relieve themselves and clean up the area well. Please ensure that pet feces is put in a sealed plastic bag and disposed of properly. The time that it takes you to dispose of animal waste in the proper trash bin will serve you and the rest of the community. Lastly, as per the Rules & Regulations of the Association, rule #3 states in part: “Dogs must be leashed and under owner control at all times when in any part of the common areas, which includes all walkways, stairwells, elevators and garage.”
Also, please do not leave any entrance or exit doors propped open while you care for your animal.
Bikes, Carts, Strollers: As a reminder the bike racks located in the garage may be used at your own risk. You may also place your bike/s, carts, and strollers inside of your unit or on your balcony; not at front entryways.
